Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), is an advanced training program designed for healthcare professionals and first responders who manage adult patients with life‑threatening cardiac, respiratory, and cerebrovascular emergencies. The course builds on foundational Basic Life Support (BLS) skills and emphasizes high-quality, team-based resuscitative care.

Throughout the ACLS/ALS course, participants learn to:

  • Perform advanced patient assessments using a systematic approach
  • Recognize and manage acute cardiac arrhythmias, cardiac arrest, and post–cardiac arrest care
  • Apply ACLS protocols for acute coronary syndromes and stroke
  • Integrate rhythm interpretation, electrical therapies (defibrillation and cardioversion), and pharmacologic interventions
  • Use critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective team communication to improve patient outcomes in high‑acuity settings
  • ACLS training is intended for healthcare providers and first responders who participate in or lead the management of cardiopulmonary emergencies in hospital, pre-hospital, or outpatient settings. Proficiency in adult Basic Life Support (BLS) is required prior to enrollment.
